We’re delighted to have been appointed, along with partners SJC Consultancy, to undertake a longitudinal evaluation of the impact of SEUPB’s Shared Education Programme.
Shared Education is a PEACE IV Programme that aims to support peace and reconciliation and is currently being delivered in more than 450 early years/pre-school settings, primary schools and post primary schools in Northern Ireland and the border counties in the Republic of Ireland.
The Programme involves direct, sustained, curriculum based provision to enable contact between pupils and teachers from all backgrounds in order to promote good relations and enhance children's skills and attitudes to contribute to a cohesive society.
The evaluation will run until 2022 and as well as traditional research activities with stakeholders such as interviews, focus groups, surveys etc.
We are very excited to be delivering two major conferences in 2020 and 2022 as part of the evaluation. The conferences will disseminate the learning from the Shared Education Programme and we’re looking forward to developing the agenda for these in partnership with the main delivery organisations Early Years – the organisation for young children, National Childhood Network, Leargas and the Education Authority.
