Our work funded by the National Lottery Community Fund continues with our 9 year Engage programme formally coming to an end in November 2019.
Since June 2011 we have had the pleasure of working with 66 organisations from across Northern Ireland, which were funded under the Reaching Out Empowering Young People’s Programme.
During this time we ran almost 70 events across a range of diverse areas such as measuring impact, practice issues such as group work and individual work with young people and developed organisational capacity in areas such as human resource management and sustainability.
We also ensured that grant holders had time and space to share their knowledge and expertise as well as giving and receiving peer support.
We are currently collating impact data for the final report and we look forward to sharing that with you in due course.
We are also now in year 4 of our 8 year LINKS programme and currently have 55 grant holders in this network. Recent workshops have focused on involving young people in decision making and working with young men. At these workshops various grant holders shared their knowledge, experience and learning on these topics, demonstrating the wealth of expertise that there is in the sector.
We are currently planning the workshop calendar for 2020 and look forward to sharing that with grant holders shortly.
In July we said farewell to our third LINKS Intern, Colette Lydon, who secured employment with BBC Children In Need. We wish her all the very best in her new role.
That means the Internship programme within LINKS has a 100% record in terms of the interns moving on to employment! We will be recruiting our forth intern early in the New Year, so watch out for that.
