David is at the heart of NCB’s effort to ensure that all the right people are informed about and involved in our work to build a better childhood.
From overseeing media coverage of fresh research to letting schools know about new resources, David brings more than a decade of charity communications experience to bear on raising NCB’s profile and engaging all kinds of people in our mission.
David started his career at Clubs for Young People and then worked alongside disabled teenagers to establish the KIDS young people’s inclusion network. Having continued to volunteer in youth and children’s work while managing communications and marketing for homelessness charity SHP and then Carers UK, David is eager to play a role in tackling the issues affecting children today.
“As a communicator, I’m acutely aware of how polarised our social discourse is becoming, and how hard it can be to trust the messages we receive. I’m thrilled to be part of a charity which insists on basing every message on sound evidence about children’s experiences. That’s a fantastic discipline to have.”
