As Director of Practice and Programmes, Annamarie leads teams to design and deliver successful programmes, build evidence, influence practice and develop partnerships.
She joined NCB in 2013, bringing experience of leading change and transformation across children’s services and working with Ministers, the Department for Education and the Department of Health on a number of policy priorities.
Annamarie led the Together for Children team in England, working with local authorities to deliver children’s centres, as well as Together for Disabled Children, where she worked with local areas to transform short break services for disabled children.
Since joining NCB, Annamarie has led activities around early years, social care, C4EO, and programme design, and established the 10-year Big Lottery funded LEAP programme.
Annamarie sits on various advisory boards and steering groups and remains a member of the Association of Directors of Children’s Services (ADCS) and the British Association of Social Workers (BASW). She holds qualifications in social work, family therapy and early years, along with a public services MBA.
In 2011, Annamarie was appointed MBE in recognition of her contribution to work with Children and Families.
