Amber has been part of NCB’s participation team since 2011, and manages our work with children and young people.
She works directly with children and young people from across the country to ensure that they’re involved in all aspects of NCB’s work, including governance decisions via NCB’s Young Trustees and Board Representatives, and that they have a positive and beneficial experience.
Amber also coordinates NCB’s membership group for young people, Young NCB, supporting them to develop and deliver their own campaigns and projects.
Amber’s work spans across the whole of NCB – she advises our policy team to ensure that children and young people’s views are reflected in the policy making process and works with research colleagues to coordinate and support a group of Young Research Advisors.
“I’m passionate about children’s rights and believe that participation should be a key element of any activity, project or campaign. I work hard to ensure that children and young people have a voice in all decisions that affect their lives – it’s our responsibility as professionals to make sure that this happens in a meaningful way.”
